On May 26, 2005, Shri Muralidhara Swamigal undertook the noble initiative of constructing the Maha Mandapam and a shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman within the premises of Sri Bodhendra Mutt, Govindapuram. Following its completion, the shrine was consecrated through a grand Maha Kumbabhishekam ceremony, performed under the spiritual guidance of Paranur Mahatma Shri Shri Shri Krishna Premi Swami. This addition further enhanced the sanctity of the mutt, creating a divine space for devotees to offer their prayers and immerse in the grace of Lord Hanuman. The shrine remains a cherished part of the mutt, radiating spiritual energy and devotion.
At Sri Bodhendra Mutt, Govindapuram, daily Padha Abhishekam is performed for Lord Anjaneya, upholding the devotional rituals. On Amavasya (New Moon) days, a special Poorna Abhishekam is conducted, enhancing the spiritual ambiance of the shrine. The mutt also celebrates Hanuman Jayanthi with great fervor, marked by a Special Pooja, Abhishekam, and the performance of a grand Laksha Archanai (chanting of 100,000 names of the Lord). Devotees are welcomed to offer Vada Malai (garlands made of vadai) to Lord Anjaneya on auspicious occasions, seeking His blessings and divine grace. These rituals serve as a profound medium for devotees to connect with the Lord and experience spiritual fulfillment.
The Ghoshala at Sri Bodhendra Saraswathi Swamigal Mutt, Govindapuram, is home to 26 cows, including calves, which are lovingly nurtured and cared for by a dedicated team of staff. This Ghoshala not only reflects the mutt’s commitment to the preservation and welfare of cows, revered as sacred in Sanatana Dharma, but also serves as a source of pure and fresh milk used for the daily Abhishekam and other spiritual rituals at the mutt. Devotees are welcome to contribute to the Ghoshala's upkeep as an act of Gho Seva, a revered form of service in Hindu tradition.
The samadhi of Madi Swamigal who was instrumental in building the present adhistanam is behind the Mutt's premises.
