Welcome to Sri Bhagavananama Bodhendra Saraswati Swamigal Adhishtanam
Welcome to the official website of Sri Bodhendra Mutt, Govindapuram, a sacred focus of Sanatana Dharma and Nama Sankeerthanam, dedicated to the revered Sri Bhagavan Nama Bodhendra Saraswati Swamigal (1610–1692 CE), the 59th Pontiff of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. Celebrated as one of the trinities who established Nama Sankeerthanam, along with Sri Sridhara Venkatesha Ayyaval and Sri Marudhanallur Sadhguru Swamigal, Sri Bodhendral propagated the chanting of divine names as the ultimate spiritual path in Kali Yuga. Located near Kumbakonam, the mutt enshrines the saint’s Jeeva Samadhi and is cared for by the Sri Bodhendra Saraswathi Swamigal Trust. The premises also feature a temple dedicated to Lord Anjaneya, resonating with divine energy through daily Rama Nama chanting, rituals, and spiritual discourses. The annual Aradhana of Swamigal, celebrated over two weeks in Avani/Purattasi (September–October), culminates on the Dwadasi Tithi of Mahalaya Paksham, drawing devotees from across India to participate in the festivities. Explore the legacy of Sri Bodhendral, immerse in the divine grace of Nama Sankeerthanam, and experience the spiritual solace of this sacred mutt on the banks of the Cauvery River.
Note:
We wish to inform devotees/patrons that The Sri Bodhendra Saraswathi Swamigal Trust is the sole representative of the Mutt taking care of the Adhishtanam and its activities.
