SRI BHAGAVANNAMA BODHENDRA SARASWATHI was the 59th pontiff of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam and is considered to be one of the trinities who established Nama Sangeetanam along with Sri Sridhara Venkatesha Ayyaval and Sri Marudhanallur Sadhguru Swamigal . The Jeeva Samadhi of Bodhendral is located at the Mutt's premises at Govindapuram by the bank of Cauvery river. The adhishtanam is being taken care by Sri Bodhendra Saraswathi Swamigal Trust. The Mutt also houses a Anjaneya temple in its premises. The Aradhana of Swamigal is celebrated in the month of Avani/Purattasi (September/October) for about two weeks every year. The maha-aradhanai occurs on the dwadasi thithi of Mahalaya paksham. Devotees all over India visit the mutt to participate in the festivities during the time.
